Seven people, including two minors, were hurt in a fire that broke out in a residential area on Fuguso Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Thursday, Feb. 15.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said a 21-year-old man sustained a laceration on his right knee, while a 20-year-old man sustained minor burns on his right hand and an abrasion on his left leg.
It added that a 30-year-old female and a 28-year-old man suffered a laceration on right index finger and toe, while a 22-year-old woman was assisted by the BFP volunteers after experiencing difficulty in breathing.
Meanwhile, a 15-year-old boy sustained minor burns on his right hand, while a 14-year-old boy got a puncture wound on his right hand. They were all immediately treated by volunteers.
According to the BFP, the fire was raised to first alarm at 11:26 a.m. and to second alarm at 11:28 a.m.
Firefighters immediately raised the third alarm at 11:30 a.m. They put the blaze under control at 12:04 p.m. and extinguished at 12:40 p.m.
Arson investigators said the fire damaged over 50 houses, displacing around 100 families or around 200 individuals.
BFP said that the fire allegedly started on the second floor of a two-story house owned by Eliseo Apalacio.
The cost of damage to property was placed at P50,000.
Probers are still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
