The Department of Public Works and Highways-6 (Western Visayas) led by Regional Director Sanny Boy Osapel is building the P400-million structure, an initiative of the First Lady, a faculty member of the College of Law.
“This is a state-of-the-art facility that will help students achieve their dreams to be future lawyers at a lower cost compared to going to private universities,” said Osapel.
The four-story building has a total area of 3,456-square meters and approximately 864-square meters per floor.
It will have six theater-type classrooms, two moot court rooms, an auditorium, an arbitration room, review room, conference room, and faculty room.
The building will also have the dean’s office, associate dean’s office, legal clinic, library, an office for Journal for Law Advocacy, prayer room, storage room, restrooms that are accessible to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and a parking area.
“The facility could boost their drive to be our future defender of justice,” added Osapel.
