A constant inspiration: Palace celebrates JPE's 100th birthday
"A constant inspiration."

This was how President Marcos described his chief legal counsel who is celebrating his 100th birthday on Valentine's Day.
Through the Office of the President's official Facebook page, Marcos greeted Juan Ponce Enrile, the longest-serving and oldest public servant at present.
"The Office of the President extends warm birthday wishes to our Chief Presidential Legal Counsel, Juan Ponce Enrile," the President said in the post.
"Your tireless efforts in serving our country are a constant inspiration to us all. Wishing you a year filled with joy and good health," he added.
On the day of his birthday, Enrile proved he is indeed a tireless man as he was seen attending the awarding rites for outstanding government workers held at the Malacañan Palace.

A day before his birthday, he also reported for work as he was present at the weekly sectoral meeting presided over by Marcos at the Palace.
Enrile, who is also one of the longest-tenured Senators in the country, is guaranteed to receive the P100,000 centenarian cash gift along with other centenarians in the country.
