Zambales 1st district Rep. Jefferson Khonghun is appealing to Vice President Sara Duterte to kindly ask her family to support President Marcos.

"Sana isa lang ang hinihingi namin, na sana kausapin din sana ni VP Sara yung kanyang pamilya ano, para suportahan ang ating Pangulo," Khonghun said in a press conference Tuesday, Feb. 13.

(We only have one request, we hope VP Sara would also talk to members of her family and ask them to support our President.)

"Dahil wala namang ibang gusto ang ating Pangulo kundi ang kaunlaran at katahimikan ng ating bansa," said the member of the House of Representatives' "Young Guns".

(Our President would want nothing else but progress and peace in the country.)

The Zambales congressman gave these remarks after he was asked if he thought there was still unity in the "UniTeam" of Vice President Duterte and President Marcos.

This unity came into question after relatives of the Vice President led by her farther, former president Rodrigo Duterte, launched rather personal attacks against Marcos earlier this month.

"The principle of the UniTeam goes beyond the relationship of the President and the Vice President. Tulad kami sa House, buo kami (Like here in the House, we are solid), we are united on the call of the President under the leadership of Speaker Martin Romualdez.

"So if you're asking, buo ba ang UniTeam (Is the UniTeam still solid)? Yes, we are united under the leadership of the President," Khonghun said.
