Police net P35.6-M shabu, marijuana

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized P35.6-million worth of marijuana and shabu and arrested  four suspected drug pushers from February 5 to 11.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Operations Division said  six grams of suspected shabu and 233,750 grams of dried marijuana leaves valued at P28 million were discovered in Kalinga.

Thirty-seven thousand, one-hundred fully-grown marijuana plants worth P7.4 million were destroyed in eradication operations in 13 clandestine  plantations in Benguet. 

All marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site after proper documentation.
Investigation is ongoing to identify their cultivators.

Recovered from the suspects who were arrested in Baguio City, Abra, and Benguet were 21.24 grams of shabu and 7.73 grams of marijuana fruiting tops valued at P145,359.60.

Suspects face drug-related charges.
