Mika Reyes will miss the upcoming Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference to rehabilitate her recurring shoulder injury.
PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort disclosed this during the league’s media day on Monday night, Feb. 12, saying that the 29-year-old middle blocker has addressed a persistent shoulder injury that has been plaguing her since the previous year.

“Si Mika, nagre-rehab. Ngayong conference? Hindi siya makakalaro. Nag-ano siya, operation. Same pa rin ng dati,” said Ricafort.
With Reyes’ absence, new recruit Majoy Baron is tasked to fill in the shoes in the team’s roster.
In addition to Baron, the High Speed Hitters will also be relying on Dell Palomata, Rachel Austero and Jessey De Leon to bolster the team’s middle.
The High Speed Hitters seek to eclipse her best league finish of fourth place in last year’s All-Filipino Conference.
