NEDA-6 Regional Director Arecio A. Casing Jr. urged the formation of the RSC during a recent meeting with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Casing said the RSC will address issues and concerns on the bridges that will span a distance of 32.47 kilometers.
The proposed PGN bridges have been in the drawing board for more than 50 years and officials recently claimed that it will be completed by the end of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in 2028.
The proposed project is currently in the detailed engineering design (DED) phase by South Korean firm Yooshin Engineering Corp.
During the meeting, Casing urged the DPWH to look into existing concerns and integrate that in the DED.
Among those mentioned by Casing were the system for water lines, electric, and internet transmission lines as well as the availability and source of construction materials and aggregates.
