Bulacan solon allows free use of tractors to small farmers

Rep. Danilo A. Domingo of the 1st District of Bulacan has come to the rescue of small farmers in the province by allowing them free use of his two tractors to speed up the plowing of their farmlands. 

The solon said that to help Bulacan farmers, he has been coordinating with the Department of Agriculture to further strengthen the level of mechanization and increase the yield of farmers.
 

Domingo said the tractors will help plow more than 80 hectares of farmland.

From December to January, the tractors were used by the farmers in Barangay Iba-Ibayo, Hagonoy in plowing 31.5 hectares of farmland. 

In Barangay Look 1st in the City of Malolos, 19 hectares were plowed with the use of the tractors from Jan. 6 to 13. 

From there, the tractors were brought to Brgy. Barihan and helped the farmers from Jan. 15 to 19, and from there, the tractors were brought to Brgy. Sumapa, also in the City of Malolos where they were used from Jan. 22 to 31 to plow 15.5 hectares of rice land. 

"Nagbigay ng malaking tulong at pag-asa sa aming mga magsasaka dito sa unang distrito ng lalawigan ng Bulacan (The free use of the congressman's tractors was a big help to us)," the farmers said.
 

They thanked Domingo for fostering unity and development among small farmers in Bulacan.
