"Ipinagbibigay-alam po sa lahat na kahit back to normal na tayo at nakakabangon na sa nagdaang pandemya, mananatili pong libre ang mga nasabing serbisyo. Opo, tama po kayo ng basa. Libre padin ito ngayong 2024 (We are informing everyone that despite our recovery from the pandemic, these services will remain free. Yes you read that right, these will remain free this 2024)," Ynares said.
"Tulong po ito sa mga drivers/operators ng mga tricycles, jeepneys at mga UVs. Kaya kung may naniningil ay huwag niyo pong paniwalaan. Bagkus ay isumbong po ang mga ganitong gawain sa Mayor's office (This is our way of helping drivers/operators of tricycles, jeepneys and UV Express. Hence, if someone asks for payment for these services, do not believe them and instead, report them to the Mayor's Office)," he added.
The mayor explained that every year, PUV drivers and operators annually pay for the franchise renewal and territorial stickers for their vehicles to be allowed to travel in the city. In 2021, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the city government opted to make these free as its way of assisting PUV drivers and operators.
The city government reminded drivers and operators that they must still apply for the renewal and territorial stickers.
The requirements are:
• LTFRB Franchise
• Tariff and CPC/ Extension of Validity
• OR/CR
• Professional Driver’s License
Here are the schedules for renewal:
• For tricycles in the city proper and upper Antipolo - Ynares Center, until Feb. 13
• For TODA of lower Antipolo and Cabading area - Until March 31
• For TODA - Until March 1
• For UV, AUB, Traditional and Modern Jeepneys - Until March 31
