40 wanted caught in Cordillera

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Forty wanted individuals were arrested in manhunt operations in the Cordillera region from February 4 to 10.

The Police Regional Office Cordillera-Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Baguio City Police Office nabbed 20 wanted persons, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office with 10, Abra PPO with seven, and Mountain Province PPO with three.

Six individuals were listed as most wanted persons, four on the provincial level and one each on the city and station levels.

The PRO-Cordillera said 61 municipalities in the region and three police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.

No crimes were logged in 23 municipalities in Abra, five in Apayao, eight in Benguet, six in Kalinga, nine in Mountain Province, and 10 in Ifugao.

Of the 10 police stations in Baguio City, Police Stations 6 (Aurora Hill), 9 (Irisan), and 10 (Marcos Highway) recorded zero crime incidents.
