BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested two minors wanted for rape in Isabela, Negros Occidental on Friday, February 9.
Police Capt. Ar-jay Dangarang, Isabela police chief, said the two suspects aged 17 were nabbed in Barangay 4.
Their arrest warrants were issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental on January 23, 2024. The court recommended no bail for their temporary freedom.
Dangarang said the suspects were turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).
They were among six persons, mostly teenagers, who allegedly gang raped a 16-year-old girl in the town in March last year.
Dangarang said they have accounted for all the suspects. Three other suspects were apprehended early this month.
