What did Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile do on the day before his 100th birthday?
It was just another day in the office as he attended President Marcos' regular sectoral meeting at the Malacañan Palace.
The longest-serving public servant was seen attending the weekly sectoral meeting with Marcos and other Cabinet members on Tuesday, Feb, 13, a day before he celebrates his 100th birthday.
Although it was an ordinary activity as he is often, if not regularly, present in the meetings with Cabinet members every week, it was extraordinary as he is now the oldest serving public servant and will turn centenarian, and yet he was still regularly attending the hours-long meetings.
Because of the special event, Palace employees took the chance to take photographs with him before the meeting began.
Some government officials also took the opportunity to have a photo with him inside the State Dining Hall.
Enrile, who is also one of the longest-tenured Senators in the country, is guaranteed to receive the P100,000 centenarian cash gift along with other centenarians in the country.
