French automobile firm Peugeot Philippines, managed under Spain-based car brand distributor Astara Group's Philippine affiliate, is gearing for a positive year with new sports utility vehicle (SUV) lineup for the Filipino market.
Peugeot held a Dealers' Meeting on Feb. 7 with Astara executives, dealers, and partners to discuss tech-forward solutions pertaining to sales, marketing, and after-sales programs in the local automotive sector.
The firm is focusing on its high-quality sports utility vehicle (SUV) lines Allure and Active namely the five-seater subcompact Peugeot 2008 Allure SUV, five-seater compact Peugeot 3008 SUV (Active and Allure), and mid-size seven-seater Peugeot 5008 SUV (Active and Allure).
The 5008 SUV model especially features a “new generation i-Cockpit with enhanced multiple Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including blind spot detection, and lane-keeping assistance.”
Aside from the cars, the firm is also planning to develop its easy-own payment schemes, conduct its test drive events, and enhance lifestyle marketing, particularly in shaping the Allure and Active vehicle models as ideal automobiles for long-range road trips and family gatherings.
“As Peugeot Philippines embarks on a transformative journey in 2024, supported by our strategic partnerships, we are committed to ensure both growth and triumph across the world,” said Astara Philippines Managing Director Raoul Picello.
“Together, Astara and Peugeot envision changed lives this year, working together to transform the future of mobility across the nation,” added Picello.
Other brands under Astara Philippines’ portfolio aside from Peugeot are GAC Motor and Jiangling Motors Corporation Ltd (JMC.)
Overall, Peugeot has sold 1,050,000 vehicles worldwide in 2022. The firm aims to make all vehicle models electric by 2025.
