Eight groups from eight districts representing 40 barangays performed in the event, with their agricultural floats and two municipal government floats parading on highway to municipal hall grounds.
The festival promoting the importance of kamote production and innovation has been institutionalized and is now part of the town festival every second week of February.
This town is recognized as the leading producer of sweet potato in this province, contributing to 49 percent of the production last year.
Moncada has innovative products from sweet potatoes such as wine and ice cream.
