Businessman shot dead in Himamaylan City

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A businessman was gunned down in Barangay IV-Poblacion, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, February 10.

Police said 46-year-old Nickie Grucen was tending to his store with his wife when an unidentified person appeared and shot him once in the nape.

Police Lt. Col. Anthony Grande, Himamaylan police chief, said the suspect fled on board a motorcycle and the victim was declared dead in a hospital.

Police recovered from the crime scene a fired bullet of a .45 caliber pistol.

Grande said they already have persons of interest and motive in the killing.
