A bomb threat hit the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Central Office (DENR-Central Office) on Monday, Feb. 12, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Around 11:03 a.m., BFP personnel responded to a bomb threat report at the DENR office.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Public Information Office (PIO) stated that operatives from Project 6 Police Station (PS15) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were dispatched to the area to address the alleged bomb threat.
After a thorough investigation, the responding police declared the incident a false alarm since they did not find any explosives or hazardous materials.
DENR employees were evacuated from the building following the bomb threat.
Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga announced the suspension of afternoon work at the DENR.
