'Filipino Katoliko' not connected with Roman Catholic Church --- Sorsogon Bishop
Sorsogon Bishop Jose Alan Dialogo released a statement through the Diocese of Sorsogon about a group called the "Filipino Katoliko," clarifying that it is not associated with the Roman Catholic Church, particularly with the Roman Catholic Church of Sorsogon.

In a Facebook post of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) on Sunday, Feb. 11, Dialogo said in an official statement that the group has been doing solicitation activities in the Province of Albay, City of Sorsogon, and possibly in the Province of Sorsogon.
The group, which was headed by Most. Rev. Pedro P. Fenis, Jr. had its letter of intent to ask for "voluntary donations" for the development of their church and to buy furniture and fixtures as well as equipment, said Dialogo.
"I would like to inform our People of God here in the Diocese of Sorsogon that these representatives of "Filipino Katoliko" under Most Rev. Fenis, Jr., are in no way connected with the Roman Catholic Church, nor therefore are they in any way connected with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sorsogon," he said.
"As you entertain them, if you would, weigh with your own prudence the authenticity & veracity of their plight, so that each one of us would act accordingly, as Christianly & full of charity as may be," he added.
