Cops net P2.1-M shabu from lady pusher

BACOLOD CITY – Suspected shabu worth P2.1 million was seized by the police from a 56-year-old drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Purok Narra Baybay, Barangay 8, this city, on Saturday, February 10.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) said Maria Faith Equibal of Barangay 2 here was arrested after she sold shabu valued at P20,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said they monitored the suspect for three weeks following reports that she served as an alleged courier of illegal drugs here.

Mogato said the suspect’s two children are also in jail for drug offenses.

He said her illegal drug supply is sourced outside the city.
