11 PNP senior officers promoted to Brigadier General rank

Eleven senior police officials were added to the list of generals of the Philippine National Police (PNP) following the approval of their promotion by President Marcos.

Promoted to the rank of Police Brigadier General are Christopher Abrahano and Jericho Baldeo, both from the Office of the PNP; Manuel Abrugena from the Special Action Force (SAF); Nestor Babagay Jr. from Directorate of Intelligence (DI); and, Jovencio Badua Jr. from Police Regional Office (PRO) 1.

Also promoted were Dionisio Bartlome Jr chief of Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG); Aligre Martinez from PRO 4A; Eleazar Matta from PRO 13 (Caraga), Noel Sandoval from Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM); Rogelio Simon from Police Security Protection Group (PSPG); and Noel Vallo from Directorate for Logisitics (DL).

The recent promotion came amid reports last year of disappointment in the PNP ranks over the delayed promotion, especially those on the third level officers, or from Colonels to star ranks.
