Taguig's No. 5 most wanted person for rape arrested

Operatives from the Taguig Police arrested a man who is tagged as the No. 5 most wanted person for the crime of rape.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes announced the arrest of alias Tonio, 33, in Bonifacio Global City, Barangay Fort Bonifacio in Taguig on Feb. 9.

Tonio is the Taguig Police’s No. 5 most wanted person for February 2024.

Personnel from the Warrant and Subpoena Unit served Tonio a warrant of arrest with no recommended bail for a case of rape under the Revised Penal Code.

The warrant was issued on Dec. 20 last year by Presiding Judge Antonio Olivete of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 267.

Tonio is detained at the custodial facility of the Taguig Police pending the issuance of a commitment order from the court.
