The 34-year-old Fajardo admitted that he wasn't feeling well after experiencing tightness on his left calf which forced him and the coaching staff to take precautionary measures as the series enters the crucial stretch.

“Yong calf ko, pero check namin bukas. Okay naman siguro, parang nag-tight lang kanina,” Fajardo stressed after their 96-85 defeat on Friday night, Feb. 9.

“Okay naman ako ‘di lang [ako] pinilit [palaruin ni coach Jorge Gallent],” he added.

Despite only playing 24 minutes, which was far from his usual service of 35 minutes per game in the series, the seven-time PBA MVP registered 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Though Fajardo endured some pain, he assured his presence in their next game as he is also set for an ultrasound to further observe his condition.

“Oo makakalaro ako next game. May ultrasound ako bukas after practice,” Fajardo said.

With the series now going to a virtual best-of-three affair, San Miguel is eyeing to break Magnolia's streak in Game 5 on Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
