The local government of Caloocan City has been recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for good financial housekeeping.

The DILG acknowledged the city's consistent high audit opinion ratings from the Commission on Audit (COA) over the years.
Additionally, the city was recognized for its commitment to practices aligned with the full disclosure policy concerning the city's financial documents.
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan expressed his gratitude to the DILG and to his fellow public servants for contributing to the city's attainment of the distinction.
“Malugod po nating tinatanggap ang isa na namang karangalan para sa Lungsod ng Caloocan mula sa DILG (We warmly accept another honor for the City of Caloocan from the DILG),” he said.
He also pledged to sustain the city government's commendable financial management practices.
“Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng aking mga kapwa lingkod-bayan sa pamahalaang lungsod na walang sawang tumutugon sa ating direktiba na magkaroon ng maayos at malinis na paggamit ng pera ng ating lungsod (Thank you very much my fellow public servants in the local government who always respond to our directive to ensure the proper and efficient use of our city's funds),” Malapitan said.
“Sa paggamit po natin ng pera mula sa kaban ng lungsod, tiwala po ng taumbayan ang laging nakasalalay. Asahan niyo po na hindi namin sisirain ang tiwalang ito at mas pagagandahin pa ang mga serbisyo para sa inyong lahat (In utilizing funds from the city treasury, the trust of the people is always at stake. Rest assured that we will not break this trust, and we will continue to improve services for all of you),” he added.
