PDEA bags P2.4-M marijuana in buy-bust

BAGUIO CITY – Four suspected drug pushers were arrested and marijuana valued at P2.4 million was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera in Barangay Pinsao Proper here on January 31.

The suspects were identified as Chou Darwin Tauli Corpuz, 37, family driver, of Quezon Hill, Baguio City; Pedrito Tamocag Ayawan, 27, of Kibungan, Benguet; Jim Ayawan, 18, and Kari del Mundo Gile, 25, of Quezon Hill, Baguio City.

The PDEA said the suspects were closely monitored before they conducted the operation against them.

Seized from the suspects were marijuana bricks weighing 20 kilos valued at P2,412,000, P6,000 boodle money, four sacks of marijuana mixed with vegetables, a brown paper bag, a leather wallet containing assorted cards, and other non-drug evidence.
