More than P1.4-M worth of shabu seized in Navotas buy-bust

Operatives of the Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) seized a total of P1,469,000 worth of shabu from two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Navotas City, on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

Police identified the suspects as alias “Tere” and alias “Mark.”

According to the police report, NCPS operatives conducted a buy-bust operation under the implementation of One Time Big Time (SACLEO) along Matang Baka St, Barangay NBBS Dagat-Dagatan, Navotas City at around 9:56 p.m. on Jan. 31.

A police officer posed as a buyer and successfully bought P22,000 worth of shabu which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

Confiscated from the suspects were 220 grams of shabu worth P1,469,000, a black digital weighing scale, a brown leather handbag, and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects will be brought to the Navotas City Hospital for medical examination and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
