Kids' Athletics is a program developed by World Athletics (formerly known as the International Association of Athletics Federations or IAAF) with the aim of introducing children to the sport of athletics in a fun and engaging way. The program is designed to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among young people. This initiative aims to promote grassroots training and healthy competition among young athletes from various schools, fostering a love for sports and an active lifestyle.

“One of the main objectives of FCAAF is to discover and develop athletic potential in the youth by launching various tournaments where they can showcase their skills. We are grateful to World Balance for their support in joining us in our quest to a healthier and more active youth,” said FCAAF President Natalie Sia.

Several prominent schools, including Chiang Kai Shek College, St. Stephen High School, Hope Christian College, Philippine Cultural College, and Philippine Academy of Sakya College, are expected to participate in this exciting event. The athletic meet will feature various activities that involve throwing, jumping, and running. This multi-sport approach provides a holistic platform for children to explore their athletic interests and develop well-rounded skills.

The emphasis on grassroots training signifies FCAAF's commitment to nurturing young talents, instilling discipline, and fostering teamwork. The event not only encourages physical activity but also promotes the values of fair play, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.

In collaboration with the Kids' Athletics Day, FCAAF has partnered with World Balance, a well-known local sports brand that shares the passion for promoting an active lifestyle. The support from World Balance adds an extra layer of excitement to the event, offering participants the opportunity to engage with quality sports attire.

“We believe in the inherent Filipino talent, in building youth communities and imparting sportsmanship. With the Believe We Can mindset, we empower the next generation of athletes through sports and help them reach their full potential. World Balance is proud to support FCAAF’s initiative towards a brighter future for the kids," said Mary Lyn Go, World Balance marketing and creatives director.

This event serves as a stepping stone for these young athletes to potentially pursue more competitive levels of sports in the future. By introducing them to a variety of fitness activities and emphasizing the importance of fair play, FCAAF aims to contribute to the overall development of the youth in the Filipino Chinese community.

As the Kids' Athletics Day unfolds, it will not only showcase the talent of these budding athletes but also serve as a celebration of the vibrant sports culture within the Filipino Chinese community. Through partnerships and initiatives like this, FCAAF continues to make significant strides in promoting athleticism, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation.
