Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa dared self-confessed former Davao Death Squad (DDS) hitman Arturo Lascañas to file cases in court if he has any evidence to prove his claims on the senator's alleged involvement drug-related killings during the previous administration.
On Wednesday, self-confessed former Davao Death Squad (DDS) hitman Arturo Lascañas linked Vice President Sara Duterte to the killings.
The lady official's father is former president Rodrigo Duterte.
In his statement, he mentioned it was Dela Rosa who told him that they have created a new extra-judicial killing (EJK) campaign against illegal drugs which later became Oplan Tokhang.
In a text message, Dela Rosa said that this claim is a newly-invented story that was not disclosed before by Lascañas.
"Anyway, wala naman siyang katakutan at hindi na presidente si PRRD (Anyway, he's no longer afraid of anyone and PRRD is no longer president)," he said.
It was March 2018 when then-president Duterte ordered the withdrawal of the Philippines from the Rome Statute, which created the ICC.
This, was after ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda announced that she would start a preliminary examination against him in connection with complaints on the bloody war against drugs.
