Aklan's most wanted caught

ILOILO CITY – Police caught the most wanted person in Aklan province on Thursday, February 1.

CHRISTIAN, the most wanted person in Aklan province, was caught in Banga, Aklan, on Thursday, Feb. 1. (PNP Banga)

The suspect, alias “Christian,” was apprehended in Banga, Aklan, by the Banga Municipal Police Station, the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) of the Police Regional Office-6, the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Aklan, and the Highway Patrol.

Christian is facing charges of violating Republic Act No. 6539 or the Anti-Carnapping Act.

Warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Bienvenido P. Barrios Jr. of the Regional Trial Court based in Kalibo, Aklan on January 26.

Bail for the suspect was set at P300,000.

Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 chief, lauded the arrest of Christian.

“I admire your dedication towards the arrest of these wanted criminals. Let us just continue to help each other to have a peaceful Western Visayas,” said Villaflor.
