73 couples tie the knot on first day of Love Month in Taguig

A total of 73 couples welcomed the Love Month of February by getting married in Taguig.

Mayor Lani Cayetano officiated the wedding of the 73 couples in the first “Kasalang Bayan” of the year in Taguig at Lakeshore Hall in Lower Bicutan on Feb. 1.

The Taguig City government, through its Civil Registry Office, provided essential and symbolic wedding elements such as coins, candles, wine, and cake for the couples.

“Congratulations, newlyweds! Welcome to the Love Month! It’s truly a joy to watch love blossom in our city. Congratulations and best wishes to all the newlyweds!” Cayetano posted on Facebook.

During the ceremony, the Best Dressed Couple, Oldest Couple, and Couple with the Longest Time of Cohabitation were recognized.

Janet Duena Cayas-Reyes, who wed her long-time partner Mark Angelo Reyes, said, “Maraming maraming salamat kay Mayor Lani Cayetano at sa lahat ng bumubuo ng konseho na nabigyan kami ng ganitong programa (Thank you very much to Mayor Lani Cayetano and to all members of the council for giving us this kind of program).”

Cayetano started the “Kasalang Bayan” program in 2010.
