The fire occurred in a residential building located at the corner of Laong Laan St. and Blumentritt Road, a densely populated area in Sampaloc.

The Manila officials ensured that those who lost their loved ones in the fire received substantial support.

According to Fugoso, each displaced family was granted P10,000, while families who lost members in the fire were provided with P20,000 each.

The city government also distributed hot meals, hygiene kits, and other essentials to the survivors to help them recover from the tragedy.
