The local government said that children aged four to 12 from various sectors received kiddie gift bags from Malacañang during the event held at the Rizal High School Oval. They also enjoyed games and fun activities organized by the city government.
Each child received a kiddie gift set, including a trolley bag, pillow, raincoat, socks, face and hand towel, tumbler, and watch.
Pasig was one of seven local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila that partnered with Malacañang (Office of the President-Social Secretary's Office) to bring happiness to children benefiting from the gift-giving day.
Through an online call, attendees heard a message from President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., addressed to participants from across the country.
Like what I said, Christmas is for the youth, so we are ensuring that whoever you are, wherever you go, your family and loved ones would at least have a merry Christmas)," Marcos said.

Sotto was also joined by Rep. Roman Romulo, Councilor Angelu De Leon, Councilor Syvel Asilo-Gupilan, Councilor Buboy Agustin, and the parents of the children.
This 2024 marks the third year of the Nationwide Gift-Giving Day for Filipino children. This year, Pasig City joined as one of the partner LGUs, bringing 'Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya' to children, especially with the Christmas season approaching),” the local government said.
The gift-giving activity is an initiative of the Office of the President, which started in 2022 in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), private orphanages, and communities nationwide.
