The facade of the building was decorated with indigenous materials and the giant Christmas tree was made from recycled materials with various lights.

Mea, who distributed gifts to children, said the Christmas decorations were inexpensive and made from recycled materials from past holidays.

“The lighting was simple but very meaningful to reflect the true spirit of the holiday,” Mea said.

Mea added that the display will make his constituents and people  passing through the town feel the spirit of Christmas.  “The spirit of Christmas is alive and well in Tiaong,” Mea said.

A firework display with Christmas carols playing in the background that lasted for 15 minutes capped the event.

This year’s theme is “Meananaig, Ang Pag-ibig ngayong Pasko sa Tiaong.”
