Supporting her husband Mikee Morada's candidacy is the focus of actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga.
She revealed this at the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) Christmas party at Rampa Drag Club, Quezon City, on Dec. 2.
Alex was with Mikee, a Lipa City, Batangas councilor, running for vice mayor.
“This is my first time introducing my husband to SPEEd, editors, and press people. We got married during the pandemic,” said the actress/vlogger.
At present, Alex is laying low from showbiz to focus on Mikee. So she's been refusing offers.
“Of course I'm thankful," husband Mikee acknowledged his wife's decision.
"My wife and I are trying to have a baby. I don't want to lose focus either... Family is our priority."
"Starting a family, building a family is tough," Alex complimented.
She admitted that she had mellowed down, behaved more, and already done one with her antics during her younger years.
Mikee added, “Alex will always be Alex... But she's more careful now.”
Alex added in jest; “It's only to him that I've been naughty.”
"Alex has consistently been one of the most followed and subscribed vloggers and is still gaining more subscriptions," Mikee confided.
“I was there courting her when she started vlogging...
"Up to now, she edits and sits through them all by herself. Seeing her do that makes me proud of her," Mikee enthused.
Alex enjoys vlogging and supporting her husband on the campaign trail.
She's better behaved now as a supportive wife of Mikee Morada.
She's open to the possibility of getting into politics herself, but
Mikee prefers her to stay in showbiz as an actress.
“I'm not saying it with finality... As of the moment, I enjoy supporting Mikee in his bid,” Alex reiterated.
She isn't affected by some detractors who continue reviving old issues.
“It’s part of the consequence of my being childish and immature.
“What’s important, my husband and family remind me, "You know your mistakes, and you’re trying to improve, trying your best not to repeat them. And we see that you've changed for the better...
“I feel I've matured… I can't forever be a teenager, forever a jerk,” Alex Gonzaga concluded.
