Marcos lauds PCUP for efficient cascading of government programs to poor, marginalized

In his message during this year’s Urban Poor Solidarity Week, the President recognized the role of the PCUP in championing the rights and welfare of the marginalized and in strengthening the foundations of hope, equity and justice in the country.
"The PCUP plays a crucial role in championing the rights and welfare of the marginalized by providing platforms for meaningful dialogue and pathways for sustainable development," President Marcos Jr. stated.
"By efficiently coordinating and monitoring the implementation of various policies and programs of agencies and organizations, it helps strengthen the foundations of hope, equity and justice," he added.
PCUP chief executive officer Meynard Sabili, for his part, expressed gratitude to the President for supporting the projects and reform programs of the Commission.
"Pursuant to the vision of our beloved President Bongbong Marcos Jr., we will strive harder to help uplift the lives of the urban poor by doubling our efforts in collaborating with all our stakeholders," Sabili said.
