To prepare for the nationwide implementation of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grants in January 2025, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced that starting Dec. 6, all Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) household-beneficiaries can access the new digital platform, “i-Registro.”
The i-Registro aims to simplify the process of updating the profiles of pregnant women and children in 4Ps households through a digital and self-service platform.
“This digital platform will enable beneficiaries to update the information of pregnant women and children aged 0 to 2 years for F1KD conditional cash grant,” National Household Targeting Office (NHTO) Director Jimmy Francis Schuck II said in a forum on Thursday, Dec. 5.
He said the system supports the implementation of the F1KD grants, which encourage better health practices among pregnant women and children under two years old.
“Through the i-Registro, 4Ps beneficiaries can conveniently update their profiles from the comfort of their homes. They can also upload supporting documents online and receive notifications via text or email about the status of their updates within minutes,” Schuck said.
The platform is integrated with the Philippine National Identification System (PhilSys) and the 4Ps database to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Shuck clarified that the digital platform will not replace the traditional paper-based updating method but will be an option for those with mobile devices and internet access.
To accommodate those without internet, he added that the NHTO is working on an offline version of i-Registro, including kiosks in areas with limited connectivity.
Beneficiaries can choose to update their information either digitally through the i-Registro portal or manually with forms. To avoid duplication, using both methods is discouraged.
“We encourage all 4Ps beneficiaries to utilize the i-Registro, as an alternative, innovative, and self-service platform to update their profiles on F1KD, to avoid the need to travel and fall and wait in long lines,” Schuck said.
Starting in January 2025, the F1KD program will provide enhanced nutrition benefits for 4Ps households with pregnant and lactating women caring for children up to two years old.
