Malacañang confirmed that some members of the House of Representatives met with President Marcos at the Malacañan Palace on Wednesday, Dec. 4, for a "fellowship."
In a statement, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the meeting was already scheduled some time ago.
"The gathering is meant to be a fellowship between the Office of the President and members of the House of Representatives which was already scheduled some time ago," the PCO said on Wednesday evening, Dec. 4.
"The event is for close in coverage only," it added.
According to the PCO, among those in the "fellowship" were House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Majority Floor Leader Manuel Jose "Mannix" Dalipe.
The meeting came on the same day a second impeachment complaint was filed against Vice President Sara Duterte. It was filed by various sectoral groups including former congressmen and human rights victims.
