Engineer gunned down in Abra

BANGUED, Abra - A 63-year-old engineer was gunned down in Barangay Calaba here on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Police identified the victim as Emmanuel “Nolie” B. Manglibo, 63, a former overseas Filipino worker.

Investigation said the victim was about to enter his house onboard a motorcycle when he was shot by an unidentified gunman at 6:20 p.m.

Manglibo was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead from bullet wounds in the right shoulder and back of the head.

He was the latest fatal shooting victim in this province.

On Nov. 28, Jomar Bigornia, 38, was shot dead during a wake in Barangay Naguirian, Pidigan by an unidentified gunman.

Police are conducting follow-up and manhunt operations against the suspects.
