Businessman shot dead in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – A 39-year-old businessman was gunned down at the parking lot of his computer store in Barangay 40 here on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

The victim was identified as Michael Garcia, 39, of Barangay 40.

Police Capt. Peter John Ramos, head of Police Station 6, said the victim was standing outside the store when two unidentified persons on a motorcycle entered the parking lot at around 3:30 p.m. 

The back rider shot the victim.

Ramos said the victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead from bullet wounds in the shoulder, chest, and back.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation. Motive of the incident could be business, police added.
