Gallup year-ender: Survey names top 10 Korean movie stars in 2024

Polling firm Gallup Korea revealed its year-end survey naming the top 10 favorite Korean movie stars in 2024.

Gallup Korea held a survey from Nov. 11 to 25 among 1,741 respondents aged 13 and above nationwide (except Jeju Island) in South Korea.

Ma Dong-seok is No. 1 with 26.5 percent. Also in the top 10 are Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun and Kim Go-eun.

Here are the top 10 Korean movie stars in 2024:

1st Place - Ma Dong-seok (“The Roundup: Punishment,” “Badland Hunters”) - 26.5%

2nd Place - Hwang Jung-min (“I, the Executioner,” “Mission: Cross”) - 14.2%

3rd Place - Kim Go-eun (“Exhuma,” “Love in the Big City”) - 12.2%

4th Place - Choi Min-sik (“Exhuma”) - 11.7%

5th Place - Lee Jung-jae (“The Acolyte”) - 10%

6th Place - Lee Byung-hun ("Concrete Utopia") - 8.3%

7th Place - Song Kang-ho ("Uncle Sam-sik") - 7.3%

8th Place - Jung Woo-sung (“12.12: The Day “) - 5.3%

9th Place - Yoo Hae-jin (“Exhuma,” “Dog Days”) - 5%

10th Place - Son Suk-ku (“Night Fishing” ) - 3.4%
