Drug syndicate leader nabbed in Batangas


CAMP MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas City – The suspected leader of a drug syndicate was apprehended by the police in a manhunt operation in Malvar town, this province, on Tuesday morning, Dec. 3.

The suspect was identified as Ryan, 49, leader of the Tan Drug Group.

Ryan, from Barangay Masin Norte, Candelaria, Quezon, was listed as a most wanted person by the Batangas Provincial Police Office.

He was arrested on a warrant for violating Republic Acts 10591 and RA 9165 issued by Judge Jose Ricuerdo P. Flores, presiding judge, Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 6, Tanauan City, Batangas dated Nov. 29, 2024.

Bail was recommended by the court for each case.

Batangas police chief Police Col. Jacinto R. Malinao Jr. commended apprehending units.

"I commend the dedication and hard work of our officers in capturing this dangerous individual. This operation reflects our commitment to ensuring the safety of our communities. We will continue to pursue justice and remove criminal elements that threaten the peace in Batangas."

The suspect is detained at the Malvar Municipal Police Station custodial facility.
