The city government of Antipolo is enjoining visitors to enjoy the holidays by spending them in the Pilgrimage Capital of the Country.

City Mayor Casimiro "Jun" Ynares III said people going to Antipolo City should visit the White Christmas-themed village at Sumulong Park in front of the International Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Antipolo Cathedral) and feel the magic of winter wonderland in the city.

Ynares said the giant Christmas tree is not an ordinary Christmas Tree as it is made of thousands of recyclable plastic and non-plastic materials which were sourced from the recycled trash of City Hall employees, the Materials Recovery Facilities in the city’s barangays, and the Antipolo Junk Shop Owners Association.

The unveiling of the giant  tree has been an annual tradition in the city that showcases the people of Antipolo's adherence to the greening, cleaning and recycling program of the provincial government - the YES to Green Program.

A similar giant Christmas Tree is also on display outside the City Mall of Antipolo in Cogeo, Antipolo.
