Over 10,000 people, including children, received food packs, cash assistance, and other Christmas gifts, underscoring the Duterte family’s commitment to community support during the holiday season.
During last month's “Rudy Sagop Bata” event at Rizal Park on San Pedro St., Rigo distributed food packs and cash to 471 individuals. Seventy-four solo parents received the same assistance for their resilience and dedication to their families.
Families affected by recent fires in Barangays Ma-a, 10-A, 76-A Bucana, and Catalunan Pequeño were given assistance. Seventy-seven families or 200 individuals received food packs, water containers, mineral water, packed lunch, and cash to help them recover from the incident.
Food packs were distributed to 11,445 individuals from fisherfolk communities in the first district. Also receiving assistance were 2,800 fisherfolk in Barangays Sirawan and Lizada in Toril and Calinan.
Two-hundred children benefitted from the Pahalipay ni Rigo sa mga Bata event in Barangays Matina Aplaya and 39-D. Children participated in fun activities and raffles and received food packs, tumblers, and umbrellas.
Rigo attended the Christmas parties of senior citizens and women where he distributed raffle prizes and joined the festivities.
Rigo, his brother Omar, chairman of Barangay Buhangin Proper, and their grandfather, former President Rodrigo R. Duterte, gave gifts during the Pasko Fiesta on Dec. 21.
Rigo said their collective efforts highlighted the Duterte family’s commitment to serving the people and spreading the Christmas spirit through generosity, strengthening unity, and ensuring no one is left behind during the holiday season.
