ILOILO CITY – Cruise ship MV Norwegian Spirit arrived for a visit to Boracay Island on Saturday, Dec. 28.

It is the third and final visit of the international cruise ship to the country’s most famous beach destination this year.
The Malay-Boracay Tourism Office cited thanked Norwegian Spirit for the visit.
“This visit reinforces Boracay’s status as one of the top destinations for cruise ships, even as the year comes to a close.”
Passengers, mostly Europeans, stated stayed for an average of eight hours and were able to see the stretch of white sand beach, visited souvenir shops, and dined at restaurants before the cruise ship sailed out by the evening.
The local government unit of Malay coordinated with the provincial government of Aklan, the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and other agencies to ensure the safety of visitors.
