The government of Pasay City has issued a reminder to business establishments operating under provisional or temporary business permits to ensure that they complete any outstanding documentation prior to the renewal of their business permits, which is scheduled to take place from January 2 to 20.

In a memorandum dated December 2, Atty. Patrick Legaspi, the officer-in-charge of the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), emphasized the importance of submitting any missing requirements before seeking permit renewal.

"This serves as a reminder to all establishments operating under provisional business permits to promptly fulfill the conditions stipulated in your permits. Failure to comply may result in the BPLO exercising its right to revoke your provisional business permit, leading to the closure of your establishment," stated the BPLO memorandum.

Legaspi further indicated that the BPLO would be compelled to rescind the provisional permits of businesses that do not submit essential documents such as sanitary permits and fire safety clearances, noting that sufficient time has already been provided for compliance.

He highlighted that the submission of these necessary documents is crucial for public safety and to prevent any incidents that may arise from the lack of safety measures.

In response, Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has issued a directive aimed at preventing business closures that could adversely affect both owners and their employees.

Rubiano noted that the BPLO continues to remind business establishments of the importance of complying with the required permits to avoid any disruptions to their operations.

She also mentioned that several small businesses have already taken the initiative to submit their outstanding requirements.
