2 suspects arrested for shabu, illegal possession of hand grenade in Alabang

Police operatives arrested two persons for shabu and illegal possession of an explosive in Barangay Alabang in Muntinlupa on Dec. 27.

The suspects, identified as alias Jhan, 34, and alias Malyn, 31, were nabbed during a buy-bust operation conducted at about 1:25 p.m. by the Muntinlupa Police Drug Enforcement Unit.

During the operation, the police confiscated 25 grams of shabu valued at P170,000 and an M26 hand grenade.

The illegal drugs will be turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for analysis

The two suspects will be charged for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 9516 for illegal possession of an explosive device.
