Partial closure of CM Recto Avenue starts Dec. 27, says DPWH

The westbound portion of CM Recto Avenue in Manila will be partially closed to the public starting on Friday, Dec. 27, to facilitate repair works on its damaged concrete pavement, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.

In a statement, the DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) said the restoration will affect a 13.5 by six-meter area of the outermost lane, resulting in the closure of two lanes along the impacted stretch.

DPWH assured the public that the lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. on Dec. 31, upon completion of the restoration.

Motorists and commuters are advised to anticipate potential traffic delays during the repair period, which is seen as part of DPWH-NCR's routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient travel on Metro Manila's national roads.

The DPWH said the initiative reflects the government's continued commitment to enhancing infrastructure and road safety on one of the capital's busiest thoroughfares.
