Following a year of foundational work and formation of its network of partners, automotive brands Omoda and Jaecoo will start selling their first models in Metro Manila and Cebu dealerships. The lineup will be led by two models, the Omoda C5 and E5.
Omoda C5

The Omoda C5 is a sleek crossover with a fastback shape and floating roof. The grille is seemingly cut out of the body work. Daytime running LEDs sit on either side of the grill while compound headlights are on the lower extremes. At the back, taillights stretch across the tailgate while the lower valence integrates exhausts pipes and a diffuser. It rolls on large, 18-inch alloy wheels.
Omoda describes its vehicle as “Cross F Future,” meaning to cross from the future and with technology and features to cross for the future, meaning it is future-proof. Among these smart features are a smart key with remote engine start and a voice control command system.

Powering the C5 is a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that produces 156-hp and 230-Nm of torque. It’s paired with a CVT that also has nine pre-programmed gears. The interior features twin screens that 10.25-inches each. It comes with wireless smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50-watt wireless charger, and an eight-speaker Sony sound system.
The C5 will be offered in three trim levels, starting with the Lifestyle variant at ₱998,000, the Comfort variant at ₱1,159,000, and the Premium variant at ₱1,279,000.
Omoda E5

Meanwhile the E5 is the electric version of the C5. It distinguishes itself with no grille at all. In fact, the charging port is cleverly hidden under the front badging. The rear is also similarly styled, just without the exhaust pipes. The interior features even larger 12.3-inch dual screens.
It’s powered by a single electric motor that makes 201-hp and 340-Nm of torque. It can drive up to 430-km on one charge and also has fast-charging capability.
The E5 is offered in two trim levels, starting with the Comfort variant priced at ₱1,649,000 and includes a free 7-kW wall charger. The Premium variant is priced at ₱1,699,000.
Both are covered by a bumper-to-bumper warranty. The C5 gets an 84-month or 200,000-km warranty and a 10-year or 1 million-km warranty for the C5’s internal combustion engine. The E5 has a 60-month or 160,000-km bumper- to-bumper warranty and an 8-year or 160,000-km warranty for electric motors and batteries.
Jaecoo EJ6

These two models will soon be joined by a third model, the Jaecoo EJ6, which debuted at the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit in October this year. Set to officially launch in 2025, this off-road capable electric SUV is equipped with a cutting-edge six-in-one motor system and full-time electric four-wheel drive.

The first two Omoda and Jaecoo Showrooms are located at G-Mall, Cebu City and in Marcos Highway, Pasig City. The Cebu showroom, was actually its first, operated by partner dealer Eres Automotive Inc. Omoda and Jaecoo Cebu is located at the GMall along A.Soriano Avenue in Cebu City.
“The support and warm welcome we received make 2024 truly a foundational year for Omoda and Jaecoo brands. The milestones we’ve earned this year now serve as a solid springboard for us to boldly enter 2025. In addition to officially making our models available for sale, we are excited to unveil more automotive innovations built with our unique automotive engineering DNA next year,” said Terry Hu, Country Director of Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines.
