CAVITE – A man allegedly strangled his former live-in partner to death and disposed of her body by burning it in a vacant lot in Bacoor City.

The Bacoor Component City Police Station (CCPS) identified the suspect as alias Ricky.

The suspect executed an extrajudicial confession stating that he strangled his ex-partner, alias Daisy, inside his residence in Barangay Molino 3, on Dec. 19.

At 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 21, alias Ricky placed the body in a sack and took it to a vacant lot in Barangay Molino 4, where he later burned the remains.

“The motive for the crime was considered a crime of passion,” the Bacoor CCPS said in the statement.

The body was discovered at 7:15 a.m. that same day, prompting the police to appeal to the public for information based on intact parts of her clothing and accessories.

Alias Ricky was arrested during a follow-up operation on Dec. 23.

The Bacoor CCPS has filed a murder case against the suspect, and further investigations are underway to ensure justice for the victim and her family.
