The 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA) ceremony was held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on Dec. 27.
The emcees for the ceremony were actor Ryu Jun-yeol, IVE's Jang Won-young, and ZEROBASEONE's Sung Han-bin.
Actor Byeon Woo-seok, whose popularity soared after starring in the drama “Lovely Runner,” emerged as the most awarded artist at the ceremony with six.
He won the grand prize (“daesang”) for Best Actor of the Year, Best Artist for TV/Film, Best Couple together with actress Kim Hye-yoon for “Lovely Runner,” Best OST for “Sudden Shower,” Popularity Award, and Asia Celebrity.
"First, I would like to thank the 'AAA' staff, and I would like to sincerely thank the viewers of ‘Lovely Runner.’ I would like to thank the director, writer, cinematographer, lighting director, and all the staff members, and I would also like to thank the actors I filmed with. I would like to thank the hair and makeup staff who worked hard for Sun-jae, and I would like to sincerely thank the Varo Entertainment family who gave me great strength to get Byeon Woo-seok here," he said.

Also winning the grand prize were Kim Soo-hyun, Artist of the Year (Actor); : Park Min-young, Best Actress of the Year; DAY 6 for “Fourever,” Album of the Year; NewJeans, Artist of the Year (Singer); “APT.” by Rosé and Bruno Mars, Song of the Year; NCT 127, Stage of the Year; and Le Sserafim, Performance of the Year.
Kim Soo-hyun also won the Best Artist for TV/Film, Hot Trend Award and Fabulous Award.
"I sincerely thank everyone who loved and watched the drama 'Queen of Tears', and the many fans who cheered me on. I would like to give this honor to Kim Ji-won who played the role of the world's best Hong Hae-in. I hope you finish this year well and have a happy new year next year," he said.
The 9th Asia Artist Awards ceremony was hosted by Korean media outlet Star News and organized by the AAA Organizing Committee.
