Sara vows relentless OVP services despite declining ratings

Despite declining approval and trust ratings, Vice President Sara Duterte vowed that her office will continue bridging the gaps and providing services to Filipinos.

In a media interview in Davao City during Christmas Day, the official did not only promise to continue providing services to Filipinos.

Speaking in Bisaya, she also stressed that such services would be strengthened and improved.

Her remarks came after the results of Pulse Asia’s Ulat ng Bayan nationwide survey releases over the weekend.

The survey, conducted from Nov. 26 to Dec. 3, showed Duterte experienced significant drops in both her approval and trust ratings.

Her approval score fell by 10 points from 60 percent to 50 percent, while her trust rating declined by 12 points from 61 percent to 49 percent.

Her approval rating declined in all areas, most significantly in Visayas where it fell 20 points to 51 percent from 71.

The official’s trust rating also fell in all areas, with the biggest drop also being in Visayas from 74 percent to 47 percent.

The latest survey results came after Duterte admitted to having contacted someone to assassinate the First Couple and Speaker Martin Romualdez if she herself gets killed.

The Vice President was in Davao City for the holidays and attended their family’s traditional “Pahalipay sa Pasko,” an annual gift-giving activity.
