ILOILO CITY – The Capiz State University recently installed Dr. Efren L. Linan as its fourth president.

“This was not just a celebration of leadership, but a celebration of our team work and community action,” said Linan after the investiture in Roxas City on Dec. 20.
Linan, who replaced Dr. Editha C. Alfon last September, reiterated his IMPACT agenda for the university – Institutionalization of relevant research and innovation; Melioration of production enterprise development for sustainability; Progressive management and steward leadership; Advancement of excellence through international program and configuration; Contextualization of inclusive instruction and training, and Transformation of responsive extension programs and significant local and global linkages.
Linan presented his five-year roadmap plan for its main campus in Roxas City, the Pontevedra Campus in the first congressional district, and Burias Campus in the second congressional district.
Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero “Popoy” de Vera III, lawyer Ryan Estevez of CHED-UniFAST, key CAPSU officials Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino (Vice President for Administration and Finance), Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi (Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages), and Dr. Mary Jane L. Arroyo (Board Secretary V), members of the Board of Regents, and the campus administrators of various CAPSU campuses graced the event.
Linan also oversees campuses in Dayao, Pilar, Sapian, Sigma, Mambusao, Dumarao, and Tapaz..
